My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful Gracie...sweet as can be! Gracie came to us from the Wenatchee shelter where she was found as a stray, injured but oh so loving. It appeared that she had been perhaps hit by a car and/or caught in a barbed wire fence. She had injuries to her skin and also to her eye. The vet treated her to heal her body injuries and to watch her eye. The injury to her eye was significant so it needed to be removed. This 10 year old, Jack Russell/Chi mix has been SUCH a trooper through it all. All she wants to do is give kisses to whoever she is with. I should mention too that she came to us with NO teeth! None!! Gracie's stitches have been removed and she no longer has to wear the cone so she is now in need of a permanent retirement home where she can be safe, pampered and loved. She so deserves it!

I would say that she would love to be the only dog just so she can be doted on but she does ok with other dogs. She currently lives with another senior large dog and they work it out. She has also been in a home with 3 other dogs. A quieter home with someone who works from home, a person who wants a very sweet traveling companion in a motor home, a senior looking for a lap companion....I can see Gracie being the perfect dog. She is small(only 9.2 pounds) so she is easy to take with you!

With all this poor girl has been through, she has such high spirits and a constant smile on her face! She loves going everywhere with you in the car, and doesn't even try to get out of her booster seat. Napping is one of her favorite pass times, but when she is awake she is happy and loves to just follow you around or snuggle in your lap. Even without teeth she is an excellent eater, and she consistently went potty outside every time we took her out. She doesn't see well, so she needs help getting down curbs and areas that she's not quite used to yet...but it only took her a day or so to memorize the lay of the land in our store and our house and she was running around happily with her tail up next to all the other dogs! She deserves to be a princess for the rest of her sweet life, and just wants to be loved! She is an extremely low maintenance little girl. :)

Gracie's adoption donation is $175 to help cover some of her medical expenses.

Gracie hopes that you will be her forever someone!!
