Honey's Story...
Hi there, my name is Honey. I am not the kind of Honey that you eat but I am so sweet that you may want to eat me up, but I am the sweetest girl who has fur that matches the lovely amber color of honey and of course win over everyone that meets me! I am good with other dogs, and love to be with kids! I am also already housebroken, so what is missing from this picture? For me, that would be a home. I am about 8 years old, I KNOW RIGHT how in the world am I looking for a home instead of being in a nice comfy house living out the rest of my years. Well, long story short, I did have a home and it was great. I am what some people call an LGD, but to me this was my job, my life, my past and my future. I had my own plot of land and watched it fiercely. Coyotes I could handle no problem, I would send them running the other way, hawks and eagles tried to swoop down and I made them wish they never had flown so close to my chickens, foxes tried to be sly but I guess you could say I out-foxed them!! This was my life and boy did I love it. It was all I knew and I was completely happy, I knew every inch of my territory and knew right away if something was off. Sadly, my owner had to move and could not take me with, which means that I had to say goodbye to all I had ever known. So off I went, to an unknown world where I had the slightest clue where I was. What do you do, if after 8 years all you had ever known was just ripped away from you? It sucked BAD, but I got through it. I may not be as young as I once was but if I can take on coyotes and foxes I sure as heck can take on finding a new home! So what do you say, would you like to be my final stop? Will you let me come home with me so we can spend many more years together, I am not ready to give up and be homeless for the rest of my life. Don't you want a girl as sweet as honey but one of the most fierce protectors you will ever meet. I will guard you and my new home with my life, will you please help me out and fill out an adoption application at http://www.txpyrs.org/TGPRescue/Public/AppServlet?COMMAND=HOME
I cannot wait to say that I am no longer homeless, and spend my golden years with you!
Love Honey!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Kyle Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Kyle, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Kyle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kyle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kyle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kyle paves the way for another one to be saved.
