Eli's Story...
Eli is a cute black and white male tuxedo cat born in mid May 2015. He came to us as an 8 week old kitten and got adopted to a family in Danville. Sadly they found out their 5 year old daughter is allergic to cats. Reluctantly they will have to bring Eli back to the shelter the first week of May 2016. We are hoping he can find a new home before this. Eli is described as warm, gently and friendly. He gets along with other cats and lived in the home with a large dog and small children. He enjoys running after the laser light and sitting with his people on the couch. He has a sweet inquisitive face and has a black back end and a white front end with black accents around his ears and eyes. Eli is FeLV/FIV negative, up to date on shots, litter trained, dewormed and neutered. If you are interested in adopting Eli please contact Michelle at 570-759-0920.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eli, a Bloomsburg Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bloomsburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bloomsburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomsburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomsburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomsburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
