Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hunter has been with us for a few weeks now, growing up in one of our foster homes. His foster mom says Hunter is such a sweetie. He is the largest, but the most docile of the bunch. He is playful and gentle and loves to cuddle. He loves to sleep and is the first one to tire out. He loves his kennel, and is always the first one to voluntarily walk in when he is done playing and ready for a nap. Often the other pups will play around him/on top of him while he happily stays asleep, but when he does wake up he has a healthy amount of energy and enjoys playing and wrestling with them. He's already learning about potty training and whines at the door when he needs to go out!
Our best guess is that Hunter is a hound mix, but at this young of an age breed is hard to be certain. He's the largest of his litter, currently weighing a whopping 9 pounds. Since we don't know what breed or size he will grow into, only those willing to take pot luck need apply! Because of his young age, he will need to go to a home with a stay-at-home person who will continue with his training and socialization and keep him well exercised. Lots of activity and puppy school is a must.
Now that Hunter is old enough, we've moved him to Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Rd. where you can meet him anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
Hunter's date of birth is approximately 5/30/15 and his adoption fee of $350 includes vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, deworming, heartworm preventative, flea & tick preventative, microchip and neuter.
