Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scout has been with us for a few weeks now, growing up in one of our foster homes. She currently weighs 5 pounds. Her foster mom says Scout is the most adventurous of the bunch. She is very curious and very playful. She is fearless! She is the first one to explore something new, chases our dog the most often and whines the most when she is not with people. Though the children handle her along with all the others, Scout has shown the least patience with their attention. With her siblings, she is bold and bossy, definitely the leader of the troop. A very confident little girl! She handles being in the kennel for the night well, once she realizes her whining will not get her out….only about 5 minutes, usually less.
Our best guess is that Scout is a hound mix, but at this young of an age breed is hard to be certain. So since we don't know what breed or size she will grow into, only those willing to take pot luck need apply! Because of her young age, she will need to go to a home with a stay-at-home person who will continue with her training and socialization and keep her well exercised. Adults and older children recommended. Lots of activity and puppy school is a must.
Now that Scout is old enough, we've moved her to Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Rd. where you can meet her anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
Scout's date of birth is approximately 5/30/15 and her adoption fee of $350 includes vet exam, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, deworming, heartworm preventative, flea & tick preventative, microchip and spay.
