Leo's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Sacramento- Leo is a cute guy, with his semi-fluffiness and shorter legs he looks nothing like any of his littermates. We know mom is a rat terrier but the babies look like there might have been several daddies. I think they will be larger than their 15 pound mom, but no way for me to tell! They were rescued from the shelter at about 3 weeks old and have been well socialized. They will be available for adoption on July 18th and we are pre-approving homes for them before then. They will be neutered, microchipped, dewormed and have their first set of shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Sacramento Rat Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Rat Terrier puppy from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
