My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Doug the Pug. This absolutely adorable loud and proud young man was rescued from euthanasia by a nice vet tech in Sacramento. We are very lucky to have him in our care. He is a well behaved, house trained, perfect little man that loves to please. Doug has dry eyes with compromised vision and will need daily eye drops. Although his sight isn’t perfect, he still loves to play fetch with his stuffed animals and gets around great. He is also a bit hard of hearing, but can understand basic commands and loves to sit, stay and lie down for treats! Doug will need to be on high quality food and get the proper care he deserves to make up for his previous years of neglect. He has the energy of a pup and would be best in an active home where he would get lots of walks, playtime and snuggles.
