Sidney's Story...
Sidney, born about 6-1-2011, is a handsome tuxedo with a short tail (6"). Sidney has turned out to be such a wonderful kitty. He loves to follow his foster mom around and get lovin' whenever he can. He even loves to have his belly rubbed. He's a big guy, so when he's in a playful mood, you'll hear him coming! His white whiskers are so expressive. He will make a great addition to your home. He would probably do best in a quieter home, no small children. Please take a closer look at Sidney and consider him to be a part of your family. Sidney is located at one of SOSCAT's foster homes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sidney, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
