Peanut Butter's Story...
What’s up yo! I got the PB, you bring the Jelly, we’ll have a party! That’s right, I’m Peanut Butter. A young-hearted party animal! I’m not hyper or anything, though—I’m the perfect energy level if I may say so myself. I’m more like a cocktail party then a kegger, know what I mean? I’m super social, full of life, and a total joy to be around. I’m already crate trained, love to rough house with other dogs, and enjoy the company of gentle children. I could even learn to spread a little love on those kitty cats, so long as you are patient (and they are patient) and are willing to teach me to be a little less ‘chunky’ and a bit more ‘creamy’! Come say hi, and be the J to my PB! 2 years old-31lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes microchip, neuter, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut Butter, a Portland Basset Hound/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Dachshund for sale in Portland, or seeking a Basset Hound/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Dachshund breeders who help with Basset Hound/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
