Shaun White's Story...
Surrendered by his owner, along with his siblings, to an over-crowded kill shelter in southern Illinois. We just had to rescue this sweet family! As soon as you talk to them or pick them up, there is instant purring – they have plenty of love to share and know they will be loved again too! Shaun is all white has beautiful blue eyes. He and his siblings are new to Adopt-A-Pet, so check back for more details as we get to know their purr-sonalities. How can you possibly pass these sweet babies up?

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Shaun really needs a playmate in his forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our Pick A Pair page to see if his foster sister is still available.

Shaun’s estimated date of birth is 4/23/15. His adoption fee of $145 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shaun White, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
