My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mack is the most loving, adorable and playful baby. He is so grateful to be alive, and it shows with the love he radiates. Mack was very lucky to be found. On a rainy, chilly afternoon in June, a tractor trailer was entering the on-ramp to 287 in Edison when he noticed something in the road. Fearful whatever it was didn't survive the 18 tires behind him, he pulled over on the ramp to reassure himself he was seeing things. Low and behold, there was a baby kitten inside the white lines of the road who had just escaped death. The trucker scooped up the baby kitten and called the nearest Petco for help (smart man). Old Bridge Petco told the man to bring the kitten to their store and they would call the rescue to see if they could help. When SARA received the phone call, they didn't think twice and off they went to meet the trucker at Petco. When we arrived, there he was, nestled up in his rescuers' arms, so thankful to be alive. We brought him to the vet immediately. He was found with a tick so we were assured the kitten was likely dropped by his mother during transport. He was no more than 4 weeks old. These are the types of rescues we live for; the ones where the saved bring so much joy to our lives, we can't imagine what we did without their love before they arrived. Mack, named after the Mack trucker who saved him, was saved alongside his pal, Mandy and have been inseparable since their arrival to SARA. Mack and Mandy must go together. Mack would do best in a household with cats and likely dogs, with or without children. His buddy, Mandy, prefers a quiet household which is why we recommend a household with older children.

This kitty has been fully vetted to date for his age & is up to date with shots & FIV/FELV Negative. Please call Mary at 732-236-9305 or email mjeroland@gmail.com to meet/adopt this kitty. Application required for adoption.
