My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB April 11, 2009.

Spike has little tuffs of fur growing out the bottoms of his feet. They are completely unique and adorable.

Spike is a total charmer. He is a great combination of calm, quiet, social, and playful. Spike loves people. He is friendly with everyone, even complete strangers, and will spend his time sitting next to you or following you around the house. Spike can be held and even cuddled. He enjoys being pet and will sometimes move his head so that you are petting him with two hands. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him. He has even made converts out of people who formerly claimed not to like cats.

When he plays he likes to rough house, if that's not your cup of tea he can easily be distracted with a toy. His favourite toys are cat teasers, which he loves to bat at from a lying down position. Spike is also easy going. He travels well in the car and adapts to new environments right away.

Spike was found wandering around a feral cat colony and was brought into TCR. Spike is FIV+. He is healthy and has no symptoms, and requires no medication. His condition is easily managed by keeping him inside and feeding him a nutritious diet. FIV cannot be passed to humans, and can only be passed to other cats by deep, aggressive bits, so Spike can live happily with other cats (or as a solo feline). Spike is a lovely, sweet cat, who will make a great addition to any family.
