Jekyll's Story...
I may seem familiar to you. I'm who they call Jekyll, quirky white with grey spots, spayed and front declawed female about 3 years old. Originally I was brought here because my owner couldn't afford to take care of me anymore. So I was adopted and thought I was going to a great home. I was wrong it seems.....I was returned. Things were good at first, lots of toys good food, I was happy. I was able to go anywhere in the house and enjoy a nap where I wanted. Then things changed. I was no longer welcome in a lot of the house due to the fact I shed. At night I was locked out of the bedroom left alone...in the dark...so I cried all night sitting at that door just wanting someone to snuggle with. So I was brought back to the shelter because I shed to much and was to needy and affectionate. I thought people wanted to be greeted at the door when they got home. Or loved on when they sat down on the couch to watch tv. Please, tell me who doesn't like to snuggle at night. It's not fair I know but hopefully my new family appreciates me for me. So if you are looking for a sweet, lovable, affectionate cat then look no future because here I am.

Jekyll, a Murphysboro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Murphysboro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Murphysboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murphysboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murphysboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murphysboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
