My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome hound with a beautiful brown brindle coat. Lovely eyes and a calm and kind manner, approx. 30lbs but should grow a bit more. Still young, maybe 7 months, but walking well on the leash. Good with other dogs and cats. He has the true scope and athleticism of a hound so a privacy fence of at least 6 feet is needed—loves tracking chipmunks and rabbits and can become distracted with that but he is friendly and curious and not manic in any way. Sleeps and cuddles in bed or stays quietly in his crate. Has a terrific bark but quits it when asked. He has good pack behavior with his house mates, can eat in the same room and be respectful. Has learned to fetch and is learning other commands with treat motivation. Also rides well and calmly in the car. He likes soft toys and tennis balls and an ice cube after a good walk or play time. Uninterested in our personal things like shoes, and understands which things are the dog toys. He did randomly mouth a bench leg but took a gentle correction easily. He just needs to figure out the world and is accepting boundaries calmly. Sweet and loving, he will bond quickly to gentle handling and attention.
