Anderson's Story...
Introducing, the world’s cutest kitten (in the PRC staff’s opinion), Anderson! This handsome little guy was saved from a high-kill shelter on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. He was underaged and the shelter just didn’t have the resources to help him so The PRC stepped in. And, boy are we glad we did. 2-month-old Anderson is a ray of sunshine that brightens up even the darkest days. He is super affectionate and extra cuddly. He is also a bit silly and can often be found perched on a team member’s shoulder while they go about their work. Anderson gets along well with other cats and with gentle dogs. He would make a wonderful addition to any home. If your family wants a new little buddy to love, come meet our pal Andy today.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adopt/adoption-application.html. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anderson, a Mission Viejo Maine Coon kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Maine Coon kitten from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
