Frankenstein's Story...
Hi! My name is Frank, which is short for Frankenstein. I got this name, because I came to the shelter around Halloween, not because I act like a monster. Actually I am one of the sweetest cats at the shelter. I was found as a stray, but I did have a loving family at one time, otherwise I would not be so content around humans.

When I came to the shelter, I needed a bunch of dental extractions and mostly because of that my age was guessed to be older. Now that my mouth is all healthy, I look and act like a vibrant young guy. My beautiful coat and eyes shine. I love playing with the youngest cat in my room, chasing the laser light or the wand toy with pure joy. I may be the fastest when playing this fun game. I get along well with the other cats here and I am a generally easy-going cat. Even though I love human attention, I patiently wait my turn for petting and brushing.

I did test positive for FIV, but please do not let that scare you. Cats like me tend to live long and quality lives. This virus spreads between cats only via penetrating bite wounds. It has no effect on non-feline species like dogs or humans. Ideally I need a home as an only cat or with other FIV + cats. I may be OK with a cat friendly dog, given a gradual integration period.

I am available for adoption or foster care. As a foster cat my medical needs would be taken care of by the Max Fund shelter and Wellness clinic. Do stop by to meet me soon, and I'm sure that you will fall in love. With me, that is!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frankenstein, a Denver Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Denver, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
