Sandy's Info...

Sandy's Story...
Sandy is a female Poodle mix about 5 years old. She is a nice size, currently weighing 10 pounds. Sandy is a pretty girl with big deep brown eyes and light apricot ears. Her coat is curly and non-shedding. She entered a shelter last summer in a neglected condition and was not putting much weight on her left rear leg. Sandy was evaluated by our vet and found to have a dislocated hip and knee so surgery was done to repair her leg. She is now doing great and is ready for adoption. This happy, friendly little dog likes people of all ages and would make an excellent family pet. She is good with other dogs although she does not need another dog in the home to feel secure. She rides quietly in the car and enjoys going to pet stores. She has a loyal affectionate nature and loves to be petted. Sandy is looking for her new forever loving home today!

You can meet SANDY this SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28th at the UNLEASHED BY PETCO STORE, 10625 Scripps Poway Parkway, San Diego, CA 92131, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a San Diego Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
