Betty Jo would be the perfect dog for anyone who loves to cuddle . . . because that is what Betty Jo does best. Betty Jo is an adorable 3-year-old gray and white toy poodle whose puppy mill background has left her nervous and fearful upon meeting new people. However once you have earned her trust, she is extremely affectionate and loves to be petted and have her belly rubbed. Betty Jo is the consummate lap dog. She loves to be held and would be an excellent "pocketbook" puppy as she enjoys car rides and, at just 7 lbs, she fits well in a doggie purse and can travel with you to pet-friendly destinations. She is very smart, house trained, and has excellent manners. She also loves going for walks and being outside. Betty Jo gets along very well with other dogs and would probably do well with cats too. She is quiet, but does bark when she is afraid, usually when someone she has not met enters the house. She is more comfortable with women than men, but with nurturing and patience she should learn to trust people in time. Betty Jo will make a wonderful companion, but she will need a family that will be gentle and understanding to help her overcome her fear of people.
