Benji's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Benji's Story...
Benji is a 3 to 4 years old male Saint that we rescued from a local shelter where he had been left by his previous owner stating that they were moving and couldn't take him with them. He needs a very patient owner that will establish themselves as the Alpha. Benji has trust issues with new caregivers and takes about a month to fully trust. Once he does, you have a best friend for life, but that first month can be rocky, so patience is mandatory. Once he trusts you as his leader, anyone that you allow in is fine with him and he's a total sweetheart. He still has a puppy personality at times and loves to get out and take a walk. He does not do well with other dogs. He also sees cats as something to chase, so a home without dogs and cats is a must. The thing Benji loves the most is attention and spends as much time around his people as he can. He is a smaller guy at approximately 130 pounds.

If you would be interested in adopting Benji, please fill out and submit an adoption application from our web site at www.sunnysaints.org and you will be contacted shortly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benji, a Bellflower St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
