CHESTER HAS BEEN ADOPTED !Chester is a very beautiful, mellow, gentle and very loving senior Collie mix. This handsome fellow was found as a stray, so it's unknown how old he is exactly, but he at least 10+ years. He's deaf and has limited sight, but this guy still has so much love to give and has not lost his zest for life. He adores people and also gets along with other dogs. This poor, sensitive fellow is a loyal companion and does not deserve to spend his final days in a concrete kennel. All this guys asks for is a soft comfy bed and lots of love! Chester is crate trained, but since we have only observed her in a shelter environment we cannot say for sure if he is house trained or not, so we do need interested adopters or fosters to be willing to possibly take on this task. He is also heartworm positive, but will be treated at our cost if an adoptive or foster home is found. Chester is currently awaiting rescue/adoption from an open intake-shelter in southern IL. Pals Place works closely with them to help place their dogs into forever homes. We have only observed him in a kennel environment so we cannot say for sure if he's housetrained, adopters must be willing to potentially take on this task. We would love to help him out, but all of our foster homes are filled. Pal's Place has no shelter facility and relies entirely on foster homes and paid boarding. We can only save as many dogs as we have adoptive or foster homes for! If interest is shown in him, Chester can be transported to Chicago. He will be fully vetted and prepared for adoption or a foster home.
