LEIA's Story...
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Lafayette Animal Control Center (LACC) would like to welcome LEIA into the adoption program. She is a 3 year old Dachshund/Hound/ Mix who is somewhat timid and unsure of her new surroundings. The LACC staff and volunteers are working to reassure her that everything is ok. She is now walking on a leash, eating special treats and enjoys the attention she is getting from everyone. Each day I see improvements...smiling and walking with a little skip. She will make someone very happy when adopted. All canines are fully vetted, UTD on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spay/neutered. Fee is $100 cash. Adoptions hours are from 1:00-4:30.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LEIA, a LAFAYETTE Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in LAFAYETTE, or seeking a Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in LAFAYETTE.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LAFAYETTE already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LAFAYETTE breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LAFAYETTE paves the way for another one to be saved.
