Sugar's Story...
This little lady is Sugar! And, yes, she's as sweet as her name indicates! Sugar is a 7 month old puppy, and we think she is a pitbull/border collie cross with maybe a little terrier thrown in. She was found out in the country, and came to SVFA after being left at the vet. Sugar is a super sweet girl with a ton of energy - like most puppies - and she's great with everyone she's been in contact with. She's great with dogs, a little too energetic for cats but does well with them, needs some house training reminders, and has some food aggression issues that need to be worked on. She also needs some other training, but now is a great time to start! Sugar is vaccinated, HomeAgain microchipped and spayed. If you'd like to add Sugar to your family, give SVFA a call today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Valley City Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie for sale in Valley City, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Valley City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Valley City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Valley City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Valley City paves the way for another one to be saved.
