Meet Jaymie! This beautiful senior girl's story will forever be a mystery as she was found in a carrier outside the front door of the shelter. Even though we had no idea who she was or where she came from, that didn't matter. We did what HELP Humane does best; we immediately fell in love with this feisty little girl as we started the work of doing her intake and soon realized that her personality was second only to her "opinionated" vocal skills!
Soon after we got Jaymie settled with a warm bed, fresh water and yummy food; we took her in for a full veterinary health examination. We knew she wasn't feeling very well and suspected she was suffering from untreated diabetes which, as it turned out, was the case. As with our other "sugar babies", it has taken a great deal of time, funding and patience to help Jaymie feel better, but the work is always worth it and we are happy to report she is now stable and feeling much better.
