Meet Joleen! This precious senior girl was found, bewildered and very ill, on the shoulder of a deserted county road. A kind soul saw her, pulled over, and after realizing there were no homes in the immediate area, offered her food, which she readily accepted. The man saw not only how thin Joleen was, he also realized she was covered with ticks. Even though he wasn't sure how to help Joleen nor could he afford the immediate care she needed, the man decided to put her in his car and take her home with him so she would be safe and there's where HELP came in.
Joleen's rescuer made a donation of what he could afford, her shelter intake was completed and she was then immediately seen at an emergency veterinary care facility where vet techs spent an hour removing 50+ ticks. Joleen was found to be extremely anemic from the damage the ticks were causing and her weakened state was cause for much concern. This little orphan needs someone to give her love and security and a family to call her own. She deserves this, can you do it for such a sweet precious girl, we are sure you wouldn't be sorry. Joleen, girl, born approx. 2005
