My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FLO HAS BEEN ADOPTED!Flo is a very pretty 3 year old female Newfie/Retriever mix in need of a forever home. This gal is just as sweet as she is beautiful. She loves attention and is a calm, easy-going, gentle and quiet dog that will do well in almost any home. Poor Flo was found as a stray in southern IL. She was hanging around a river for several weeks until animal control was called to pick her up. It's obvious she had been on her own for quite some time. She was extremely thin with overgrown nails and matted fur. She had a large open sore on her ear with maggots living in it. Despite her recent rough times, Flo is one of the most wonderful dogs we've had the pleasure of knowing. She's currently living in a foster home in Chicago where she's soaking up all the love and care she's receiving. She's had several good baths and the wound on her ear is now healed. She's slowly putting on some weight, but is still about 20 pounds underweight. Her ideal weight will be close to 80 pounds, but she has a very good appetite so now that she's been wormed and getting regular meals, she should get to her ideal weight in no time! Flo is living with several other dogs and gets along well with everyone. She's quietly crate trained and is housetrained when kept on a regular schedule. Her adoption donation of $375 helps to cover her spay, worming, vaccines and heartworm test. She's ready to go home with her forever family today!
