Ollie's Story...
Ollie is a fun, energetic and loving pup. He resembles and portrays a lot of Rat Terrier traits. He has a great sense of humor and is a joy to play with. He is very sweet and enjoys a good cuddle after an afternoon walk/play. He gets along GREAT with kids and actually prefers them for playmates. He also gets along GREAT with other dogs. He has not had an accident in the house at all and uses the dog door with ease. He's very smart and responds well to being corrected/discipline. He would make a great addition to a young family and needs an active family who wants a playmate. Want to meet him for possible adoption- fill out an application at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ollie, a Houston Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
