Cordell (Declawed)'s Story...
Cordell is BOLD! He has bold markings, is strikingly large, and has an equally BIG friendly personality ;). He adapts easily to new surroundings and new cats. He was held in an animal shelter for an exceptionally long time, so he needs to gain some weight back and his fur is still recovering. The shelter is a very stressful place for a cat! In spite of the rough patch he's been through, he's exceptionally friendly and gorgeous. He's located in a foster home in Huntsville, AL and we'd love to introduce you to him. He's declawed so needs a 100% indoor home. To speak with his foster mom, please email If you'd like to meet him, please complete the cat application at Cordell is neutered, Felv/Fiv negative, vaccinated, and would love to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cordell (Declawed), a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
