Serena's Story...
Aren't I a beautiful girl? I am a 'retired mama'. My newborn babies & I were turned in to the county shelter. Because my babies were so young & I was shy, we ended up on the euth list. And we all got really sick at the shelter with a nasty URI (respiratory infection). Fortunately, St. Francis came to our rescue. My babies were only days old & I'm just a baby myself! We all deserved to get out of that shelter & into a forever home! I'm healthy now & ready for the good life. My foster mommy says that sometimes retired mama's get overlooked. I hope not! I worked hard taking care of my baby girls & now it's my turn! I am shy, but I'm really sweet. I'm learning to trust people & I really like the inside life. Are you the one for me? Do you have a sunny spot for me to relax in? I can't wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Serena, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
