Mae West's Story...
Hi everyone! My name's Mae West - just like the famous movie star! I'm all done raising my litter of kittens and So, I am officially retired as a mom cat and looking for a home of my own where I can just be someone's beloved furry companion. My foster mama says I'm beautiful just like a movie star. She also says I have a beautiful voice and purr-sing when I'm happy and content - which I am right now because I am living inside a home!! I have always wanted to live inside. Now all I need to find is my forever home. I get along well with the other cats in my foster home. I am learning to get along with the dogs as well. They are a little scarey to me, but i am getting beter. The only thing that would make life better, is to find a family and home of my own. Somewhere I can curl up with my new human and purr my song of happiness to them while they pet and love me and tell me how special I am. I really hope there is a family out there for me. And I hope to meet them REAL soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mae West, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
