Hi! My name is Sunshine! My foster mom calls me Sunny. I am a happy, funny, lively girl with lots of energy. I love walks, running with the bicycle, hiking and chasing a kong. Did I mention I have lots of energy!?

I speak doggie door, treadmill, and am fully crate and potty trained. My favorite thing to do is hang out with my humans doing whatever it is that they are doing. I am currently in foster care with a wonderful foster mommy who is teaching me to be more well rounded. I'm not exactly sure what that means... all I know is that I am upping my game.

I look forward to be adopted into a forever home that will keep me balanced and offer me consistent structure and activities. Did I mention I love to go for walks and run with the bicycle?

If you are an active type and love to walk, hike and ride, won't you consider adding me to your activities? I'll love you forever for it!

Please do not call as our phone is intended for emergencies only. If we feel that one of our dogs is a good match we will set up a private meet and greet We do not have a physical location where you can come and meet all the dogs at once, so meet and greets may take a little time to coordinate. Our requested adoption donation is $300 and all adopters are required to fill out an adoption agreement.

The Rescue Promise

There is an old Chinese proverb that states: “If you save a life, you are responsible for that life”. Rescue From The Hart honors this philosophy with every animal that we rescue. When we say “yes” to a dog or cat in need, we are making a promise that we will provide them with anything they need to be happy and healthy, for the rest of their life. This means never cutting corners, never take the easy way out and never looking at one of our rescued as just another number. We make the same commitment to our adopters by going the extra mile to help educate them, support them during tragedies, and be there to offer solutions if their lives happen to get turned upside down.

When you support Rescue From The Hart, you help enable us to continue making the “Rescue Promise” to homeless and abandoned pets everywhere!
