Angus is a handsome, well-behaved, friendly boy
Angus is very easy-going and likeable and gets along well with other dogs and people of all ages. Angus would love a home where he could be indoor and out and would make a great travel buddy too - he does really well in the car and seems to enjoy going for rides. Angus loves to play and especially loves squeaky toys to fetch
he is NOT hyper but a well behaved easy dog for a breed experienced person
He seems to be more at ease with meeting women but has bonded with men as well over women
a lot will depend on you your true love for dogs

He is Crate trained, Plays fetch, Likes to play with toys, Playful, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Intelligent, Gentle, Goofy
Looking for stable home owners over the age of 26 years must have breed experience

Angus is around 7 years old or so out of the chewing stage pre trained and ready for a down to earth family still active enough for long walks and games of fetch
He weighs around 80 pounds on a large frame and his perfect weight

If kids prefer over 12 yrs respectful to animals though he lived with a younger child in prev. fosterhome
a adult home is ideal as he's not really a kids dog

ideally a quiet neighborhood with stay at home young retired folks that love and know the breed either as only dog or with another larger dog med energy he does play with other dogs in his foster home but can easily be only dog as best buddy sidekick to you

going for walks enjoying snuggles and being part of the family not just a dog
playing in a fenced yard, meeting other walking buddies would suit him just fine

No cats or small animals he will chase them

Gets along well with other dogs and horses. I'm not sure he's had any experience with other livestock or chickens so prefer none

Angus requires to be physically and mentally exercised on a daily basis
and have a mentally strong leader that knows about boundries etc
someone that has had a smart breed before and knows how to be equally smart
knowing how to joyfully live with such a smart dog
Angus can be a tad shy meeting new people when out and about but has never shown any aggression
the Shepherd in him bring out some protection qualities
of his home and family
Angus prefers a quiet lifestyle in the country
but could be flexible for the right super match non country home
Angus is a ball crazy dog and loves to play fetch but yet must learn the drop it command
we exchange the toy with another

Angus loves quiet country nature hikes but has no problems with noises
cars, bikes strollers etc
He loves the water too at least to wade in for a drink
too cold to swim right now

About Manhatten Animal Rescue Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Communities are in economic crisis and innocent animals are facing the consequences with their lives. We try to provide some resources to alleviate the increasing abandonment and neglect rates. Our efforts are mitigated because of the over population of our domestic animals and the lack of education on the crisis of not spaying and neutering your animals.
