Angus is a handsome, well-behaved, friendly boy

Angus would love a home where he could be indoor and out and would make a great travel buddy too - he does really well in the car and seems to enjoy going for rides. Angus loves to play and especially loves squeaky toys but far from hyper
He is Crate trained, Plays fetch, Likes to play with toys, Playful, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Intelligent, Gentle, Goofy
Looking for stable home owners over the age of 26 years must have breed experience

Angus is around 7 years old or so out of the chewing stage pre trained and ready for a down to earth family still active enough for long walks and games of fetch
He weighs around 80 pounds but is on a diet and has already lost weight daily walks and some fetch and or playing with another med energy dog will ensure that
If kids prefer over 8 yrs respectful to animals though he lives with a younger child in fosterhome
and is totally fine however that child has learned to be respectful to animals being around many since birth
ideally a quiet neighborhood with stay at home young retired folks that love and know the breed either as only or with another larger dog med energy he does play with other dogs in his foster home
going for walks enjoying snuggles and being part of the family not just a dog
playing in a fenced yard, meeting other walking buddies would suit him just fine
No cats he will chase them

Gets along well with other dogs and horses. I'm not sure he's had any experience with other livestock or chickens so prefer none or someone that can train him around it the correct way
Has no problem with larger dogs, male or female his size or not under 25 pounds
looking for a cat-free home
He has attempted to herd kids and nip at their heels though no contact was made., again anyone that knows this breed knows that is normal and can handle it by conditioning and some training
for that reason we prefer an adult home or a one or two nice kids over the age of 10 years
The trainer says quiet, nervous people with low-confidence are the ones he seems to be fearful of at times according to his observations which is very normal from my 16 years of experience with the smart breeds that lack some confidence from loosing at least one home, he's not a fear biter never did of our knowledge but looking for a quiet home country preferred a fun and good feeling energy home
with true dog lovers that are great leaders and know what that means
He had a really close attachment to the ranch owner, a male, where he lived until recently but is fine with any gender
a breed-experienced owner, regardless of gender would be appropriate.
Loves squeaky toys
Affectionate, intelligent, loyal, protective, cautious, alert, playful

Angus requires to be physically and mentally challenged on a daily basis being that smart breed he is
so playing games and spending quality time with him daily is a must as it is with any dog

About Manhatten Animal Rescue Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Communities are in economic crisis and innocent animals are facing the consequences with their lives. We try to provide some resources to alleviate the increasing abandonment and neglect rates. Our efforts are mitigated because of the over population of our domestic animals and the lack of education on the crisis of not spaying and neutering your animals.
