Cowboy Hank is a handsome, well-behaved, friendly boy that loves to bond and be your sidekick
naturally great leaders that are as smart as this breed is

Cowboy Hank is very easy-going and likeable and gets along well with other dogs and people of all ages though we prefer a adult home, young retired that had the breed before or similar herding breeds

He does really well in the car and seems to enjoy going for rides
loading up in a truck he will put his front feet up and you lift his rear end top get in
on a car no biggy to him

Cowboy Hank loves to play and especially loves squeaky toys to fetch
but most of all he loves to be your side kick get his rear end massaged

Angus is not one that likes to be in the city but prefers a quiter lifestyle in the country
or a quiet neighborhood
he has no hang ups about city life but seems happier in a quitter environment

He's always been a country boy and we would love to keep it that way

A home with little daily food traffic would suit him just fine

He is Crate trained but does not need one
Plays fetch, Likes to play with toys, Playful, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Intelligent, Gentle and Goofy once he's bonded

If there are no cats or small critters he would do well on a small ranch
otherwise he will do what dogs do chase

Looking for stable home owners over the age of 35 years

Cowboy Hank is around 7 years young or so and a perfect age
out of the chewing stage and trained
ready for a down to earth family still active enough for long walks and games of fetch
and lots of rubs and petting
He weighs around 70 pounds on a large frame his perfect weight loves to eat so can easily pack on the weight
he's fairly tall and bigger boned
beautiful coat plush white and black

Adult home preferred as someone side kick
he would love to follow you around while you garden
he loves to bond to one person
and he will make sure he protects that person
he's not a aggressive dog at all
but his shepherd instinct can kick in if need be

He does play with other dogs in his foster home but can easily be only dog as best buddy sidekick to you

being part of the family not just a dog
playing in a fenced yard, meeting other walking buddies would suit him just fine
he has medium energy
daily playtime then relax
throw the ball while garening or doing ranch farm chores he would love to follow you and help you doing chores
if you have another dog a female his size and age be ideal they can run and play while you do your ranch farm work or garden
loves his rear end massaged does a cute dance with back legs when you do it while he's standing
Cowboy Hank is not a jogger type dog
regular daily exercise yes
playtime on off during the day
hanging out
following you around
good food
lots of love
a kind down to earth person or people
that are not looking for a perfect dog
nor worry about a hair here or there
the true dog lovers

Gets along well with other dogs and horses. I'm not sure he's had any experience with other livestock or chickens so prefer none
or separate and you train him to be ok with them

Cowboy Hank is a ball crazy dog (not to the point of no return) but easily exercised doing that
no need to take for walks he prefers walking around his country property with you
but is ok walking very good on leash elsewhere
loves to play fetch we exchange the dropped toy with another
to throw but he's learning to give it up
so easily exercised
just put the ball away when done and he's fine

has no problems with noises
cars, bikes strollers etc
but also prefers the homelike over going out

He loves the water too at least to wade in for a drink
too cold to swim right now

About Manhatten Animal Rescue Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Communities are in economic crisis and innocent animals are facing the consequences with their lives. We try to provide some resources to alleviate the increasing abandonment and neglect rates. Our efforts are mitigated because of the over population of our domestic animals and the lack of education on the crisis of not spaying and neutering your animals.
