For Adoption - Bristol

Almost a year ago we shared Bristol​'s​ story and images showing his emaciated and weak condition​ when he was rescued. ​ He touched everyone's heart and ​​generosity​. Your donations made it possible for us to provide him the medical care he needed to survive. ​He spent five months at the vet's office getting daily medicated baths for sarcoptic mange, and heartworm treatment​. He is now in a foster home where he has blossomed into a very handsome, 3 year old. He now weights a healthy 40 lbs., and will remain a medium dog.

To our pleasant surprise, Bristol is a ​blond ​Xolo (short for Xoloitxcuintlis, or Mexican Hairless dog). Known for his loyalty, intelligence and loving nature, the Xolo is a primitive breed derived from the Aztecs, Mexico's oldest culture. They are quiet, lay back and affectionate dogs who love their humans and ​equally ​enjoy daily walks and evening cuddles. Bristol is no exception to his breed. He is a very sweet and gentle dog who loves everyone he has come in contact with​, including other dogs. ​ He is now healthy, neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm preventive.
