Vinny's Story...
Hi! My name is Vinny, short for Vinessa as I am a rare female orange tabby! At 9 years old I am a real mellow girl that is dreaming about long summer days of couch naps in the sunshine and an all you can eat buffet of wet food. I am a lovable, low-maintenance gal that can help you with crosswords and am a pro at bingo. I do well with other animals and people of all ages, but prefer a home that is a bit on the quieter side. Do I sound like just the companion you are looking for? Come visit me at the Pixie Project where I currently reside. Visiting hours are Tues-Fri 11-6 and Sat 11-4. I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $80.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vinny, a Portland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Portland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
