My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This Handsome boy is SAYLER a gorgeous purebred Blue AKC Weimaraner. He is 3 yrs old, Sayler has A nice temperament, and beautiful Weimy features He is blessed with stunning good looks, and beautiful soulful eyes that show so much love and a little pain.
Saylers` s story )))) Oh where to begin with this one Sayler hasnt had the best of lives until he arrived with us, We rescued him from a North Florida breeder who put him up on Craigslist. Nothing wrong with that you say well here is the reality. When we went to get him we found that Sayler had been locked in a horse trailer for most of his life they wanted him to hunt hogs well this boy didn't want to hunt he wanted a cozy home life and someone to give him attention and love. Saylers home was a horse trailer he was so unhappy he started to self mutilate himself. We picked this sweet boy up and needless to say he was scared. We had a foster home ready for him but on intake he needed to be taken straight to the vet for surgery shots and neuter, Sayler was in our vet for 9 days it took our vet 3 baths to get him clean and sweet smelling. Sayler also came up heart worm positive. In January we started his heart worm treatment and today he is healthy and heart worm negative and is enjoying his life in a loving foster home where he has love and can run play and be a happy weimy boy.Sayler is a lovely boy so sweet and all his Weimy traits are coming out. All he wants is a family that will love him, and give him cuddles as all Weimies he loves his humans. Sayler loves attention and will stand in front of you and stare for a pat on the head a hug and of course food if you have it. Sayler is just happy with anyone that will show him love and affection. I wouldn't say he is a high maintenance Weimy he just wants to be part of a family with someone that will include him their activities. As Saylers confidence grows he does get a little mischievous. He loves to chase lizards, and run and play outside. Sayler walks well on a leash and he loves car rides he is good in the car you hardly know he is there, However in true weimy form he likes to put his head out of the window.
Sayler is up to date on all shots,Neutered. heart worm negative and micro chipped. He is happiest being in a family environment and enjoying freedom to relax in the home. We are now looking to find Sayler a wonderful forever home where he can have stability and security in his life.We are looking for a forever home that can cherish him and give him the love and attention he needs and deserves, A family that is really stable and can give him that forever home that means forever. We don't ever want to see this boy back in rescue. Sayler is so lovable, and loves lots of cuddles something that he never had with his previous owner. A family that will include him in their lifestyle and activities would be perfect, He will blossom with the right interaction. he is a relatively quiet boy and eager to try and please you. So what are we looking for in a home for Sayler. We are looking for
A home with a fenced in yard which is ESSENTIAL where he can run and play.He would do well with one other dog around as a companion or as an only dog with lots of interaction. He would love a female. Sayler is with 4 other dogs both male and female and he gets on fine with them all but a quieter home environment would be better for him. Not a lot of dogs so he dosent feel the need to compete for attention. A family that is home most of the time would work best for Sayler after his previous family life he dosent like to be alone for long periods and crating would NOT work for Sayler. So we prefer an owner that doesn't crate . Sayler is certainly a people boy. He dosent need a lot he just needs the love and consistency of a loving family. We would say NO CATS for Sayler he is a little curious and no toddlers he is fine with children but young ones that are not disciplined may be a little too much for him. A family that dosent mind a Weim sitting on the sofa or cuddling on your bed is also essential. All our weims love to cuddle on a sofa and they love to sleep on your bed. So if you dont want a dog on your furniture Sayler is not for you. Could you be the one to open up your heart and home, and make Sayler`s life complete, if so you will be rewarded with a wonderful , loyal faithful friend that will bring you endless hours of pleasure.
