Angus, Echo, Smudge, Elba, Jersey, Jackson, Kaluah, and Ridge were born to Moonie. She came to us pregnant. She is a chi mixed with Doxie and we are unsure of dad, but these guys looks small breed. Mom is approximately 15 pounds. They have been with their foster since day one and are awsome puppies. They are very social and love everyone. They are playful and love other dogs and are fine with cats. They will make a great addition to a home where they will get lots of attention and love. They look like they will be small breed (under 25 pounds). They are currently 6 weeks (as of 7/12/15) and will be available around 8 weeks on foster to adopts. Please send an email (preferred) and we will forward it to the foster. If you call please be ready to supply us with your email so we can send the inquiry to the foster. We require an adoption application and home check before completion of any adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Echo, a Hurricane Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Hurricane, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Hurricane.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hurricane already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hurricane breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hurricane paves the way for another one to be saved.
