My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Once upon a time, there was a couple who got a dog named Jake. For a while, everything was fine. Then problems arose and the couple decided to go their separate ways and Jake was shown the back door-literally.
A good and kind family, noticing that Jake was trying to make it on his own and not doing very well, took him in. They gave Jake a warm bath and good food. Jake met 2 other dogs that were already in the family and got along great with them.
He was so grateful for a safe bed and good meals.

This family also has cats. Although the family tried everything, Jake was just not going to leave the cats alone. The family's intent was to keep Jake as their own but all their efforts to have Jake and the cats get along had failed.

The family contacted our rescue and we were very happy to help.

Jake came into his foster home and at the door to greet him were 2 black labs. Jake said how do ya do and everybody went for a nice walk together to get acquainted. Once back home, all the labs went into the backyard for a little exploring.

Jake is a very quiet guy. He is more of an observer then talker. He walks very well with a pack and has excellent manners in the car when traveling.
The foster Mom is working on Jake taking treats in a little more gentler way and he is getting it with no problems.

Jake is a Chocolate Lab, 5 years old, 54 pounds, UTD on vaccinations, housebroken, neutered and micro chipped. JAKE IS NOT A FAN OF CATS OR ANY SMALL ANIMALS. JAKE DOES NEED A COMPLETELY FENCED IN YARD TO ENJOY HIS PLAYTIME.

If you would like to meet Jake, please call Chris at 586 563 4127 or email: homes4angels@yahoo.com JAKE IS CURRENTLY OUT ON A TRIAL WITH A FAMILY AS OF 8-8-15
