Scruffy's Story...
Scruffy may be eight years old...but he loves to run, play and explore outdoors. We believe he is a Schnoodle...which is a Schnauzer and a Poodle mix but we are not 100% sure. We are sure that he is 100% adorable! He follow commands and is housebroken. He loves to play...so he would be great with older children. His owner first contacted us when her husband took ill and was in TGH. His Mom was driving back and forth from Brooksville to see her husband and there was no one to watch Scruffy or help with Scruffy as they had just moved to Florida. We babysat Scruffy for a while...hoping they could take him back and be a family again...but the couple's life changed and they could not care for such an active little boy. He was just groomed by Kathy's K9 Grooming service in Brandon...didn't he come out cute? She grooms our foster puppies at no charge...so please if you need a groomer in Brandon...give Kathy a call at 813-541-6318 and support her for helping us. Scruffy is waiting for you to come get him to play!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scruffy, a Tampa Standard Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Standard Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Standard Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
