My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MARIO is a 3 year old neutered yellow male Lab that weighs 62 pounds. He is a happy dog who likes to be with you to keep you company. So far he is an easy going and laid back. He likes to retrieve and brings it back, then wants you to chase him to get it. If you ignore him by turning away he will come up and drop it for you to toss it again. He explores everything around him to make sure he knows what is going on He would love family that will play with him, give him attention and has a yard for him to play in. They will be getting a super pup. Good with other dogs, played with several at the kennel. No cat history. Knows sit, come down. Good on lead settles down after a few minutes. May be house trained as he waits to do his business until he is outside.Mario comes from the country and has no exposure to big cities. Placements is limited to single family stand-alone homes in a suburban neighborhood, or rural area. Exceptions must be approved by Silvia or Sterrie. Mario is approved for kids ages 10+.

Updatae (8/29): Not only is it FOSTER FRIDAY, but it is also payday, so Mario is excited to go to work today. Mario works giving kisses and playing with his foster siblings and gets paid in treats and attention. He is so smart and well-trained and has the most soulful eyes. He is a charmer and easy to fall in love with. Mario is just waiting for a forever home and family. Whoever that is will be getting an outstanding companion.

Update (8/24): Mario is such a sweet and smart dog. Not only does he know the basic commands - sit, stay, come, lie down, and shake - but he also stays at the edge of the kitchen when I am cooking. That is something we trained our lab to do, but have been unsuccessful with our pug. Mario loves to hang with his humans, but is also happy to just be around the other dogs. He is comfortable outside and inside. Mario rarely barks. The only time we've heard him bark was when our lab was howling at a siren. He is such a delight and will make a perfect pet in his forever home.
