Teddy Roosevelt's Story...
“Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground.” One thing that I have learned so far in this life is that you are only as good as the effort you put forth. Folks like to hem and haw about the great things they would like to do, but I do really do it: cuddling, snuggling, romping, and playing! Sure, I may lack the focus of an older, more experienced dog, but I have the drive and determination to love like no other. I can be particular about who I associate with, and I keep my circle of friends limited to other dogs of all kinds and humans of all sizes—no furry felines for me! I believe in education and apply myself to what I learn, so my crate training here has taken a lot of my concentration, and with reward-based training I will be more than pleased to learn whatever lesson plan you have in store. “Believe you can, and you are halfway there.” I believe I can make a better life for us. So I guess I am halfway to your heart already. 2 years old-42lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes microchip, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy Roosevelt, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Beagle breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
