Waldo is hoping you will hurry up and find him. Waldo and Allie, were rescued together from a shelter not long ago. They were being kept in the same kennel at the shelter and seem to get along quite well. You can tell them apart when they are side by side, but we can’t tell which one is which in the individual pictures we took of them. We currently have them in separate foster homes to make sure they are not a bonded pair and they don’t appear to be missing each other at all.
Waldo is an adorable little guy that is sorta shy but very sweet and loving. We are listing him as a wheaten, cairn terrier/yorkie mix. Waldo is around a year old and unfortunately has not been very well cared during his short life as evidenced by his being way too skinny at 10 pounds and testing positive for heartworms. Once he gains a little weight he will be neutered. The heartworm problem will be handled by keeping him on an Ivermectin based heartworm prevention such as Heartgard or Iverhart until he tests negative for heartworms, which will occur in 1-2 years. Once he tests negative for heartworms, the adopter can change his heartworm prevention to whatever type of heartworm prevention you and your vet prefer. Waldo walks well on a leash, rides well in a car, gets along well with other dogs and really impressed our vet with his good manners and sweet disposition. He will also sit when asked. Waldo is up to date on vaccinations including a bordatella vaccine to protect him from kennel cough. Waldo is hoping that he will soon be found in your heart and your home.
