found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Goat is a 2½ year old blend of cute and smart! He surely seems to have the appearances of either a jack russel terrier in his face and colorings, but the body of an Italian greyhound.
Goat is about 13 lbs and is full grown! His personality is really shining through now that he is comfortable in my home, I cant stress enough to potential adopters that he is timid at first but i promise he comes around! It's obvious he had a rough past and has trust issues, especially with some men but once he understands that they are not trying to hurt him he warms up.
I like to say that he is a cat in a dog's body, he has a cats attitude and he likes to drink out of faucets like cats do! He only shows affection on his terms. He doesn't mind being loved on at all and will cuddle with you but will only love on you when he feels like it. He is completely kennel trained but has some issues with food aggression so I make sure he eats in his kennel and he knows to go there and whine when he is hungry then he whines when he is done and I will let him out. If there is food left in his bowl I set it on top of his crate or close and lock the door because he will get upset if the other animals try to eat his food.
He is completely potty trained although he will mark his territory at a strangers house but I can assure you that it is only temporary and will learn that he cant do that with a stern no. He also tends to be protective of his toys and treats, He doesn't mind too much if you are playing with him and his toys but once he takes them into his kennel he wants them there and will guard them with his life until he decides to bring them out, same goes for his treats.
Don'ÂÂÂt be alarmed if he growls when you play with him, he does that often and that is just his way of participating in playtime. He gets attached very quickly and tends to get anxious if you are away for too long, he needs someone who will spend quality time with him! He is in San Antonio but can be pre adopted and transported to WA on our next trip!
