LEA's Story...

LEA is such as sweet dog!! She was a stray seen in an area for a few days as if she was waiting for her people to come back.  This good sam finally brought her home and is taking care of her until adopted.  She reached out to our rescue and we offered to help!  Lea is a husky/shepherd mix we believe and is about 10 mths to a year old.  She is very friendly, gets along with other dogs, loves kids and is a bit too interested in cats. If you are dog savvy this is a behavior that can be worked through as she does not go after them but is interested.  She is a bit food aggressive but we see that all the time with dogs who are dumped and we know for a fact this can be worked through with consistent boundaries and discipline.  She is very loving, active and would make a great walking/hiking/running buddy.  She is pretty good on leash, does not pull at all, actually it is more about just building her confidence on leash.  We never know what a dog has been through and we know for a fact if you give them time and love and attention she will be an amazing addition to any family. To learn more about how to adopt Lea contact Debbie at lincorjack@yahoo.com....she is ready for the next chapter in her life!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LEA, a Von Ormy German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Von Ormy, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog from a breeder in Von Ormy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Von Ormy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Von Ormy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Von Ormy paves the way for another one to be saved.
