Boss's Story...
Boss has earned her name! She's had quite the history and has stories to tell. She was attacked by a coyote, suffered severe damage, and it took her weeks to return to her home. Then, she lived outdoors all winter in a bed that was frozen to the porch. Most recently, her loving rescuer was diagnosed with a severe illness and will no longer live in her home - so Boss is back on the road again. It's been a run of bad luck that needs to stop NOW! She's the softest cat you'll ever meet, 12 years old, and when she has questions to ask - well, she asks! Take a look at her video to hear her talk. She's very healthy and has received full vet services. She's spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, Felv/Fiv negative, and has been examined by a vet. She lost most of her teeth in the coyote attack (yes, it was that bad) but she's fine now and loves her meals. We'd love to introduce you to her - she's fostered in Huntsville, AL. If you'd like to speak with her foster mom, please email info@FORrescue.net. You can get started by completing the cat application at www.FORrescue.net. Boss's adoption fee is only $25!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boss, a Knoxville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
