My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Lil Buddy, but everybody just calls me Buddy!

I am a 5 year old Miniature Schnauzer. I am neutered and up to date on all my shots, micro-chipped, and had a dental check up.

I was found wandering the streets of Cuyahoga County, Ohio by someone who picked me up and took me to a place called an animal shelter which was very lonely. It was very noisy and frightening. Then a nice lady they called a judge, came and picked me up. I thought I was in really big trouble, but she took me home with her and showered me with lots of love.

The next day she put me in the car and we went for a ride. I didn’t know it, but she was taking me to meet my new foster parents and a new fur brother. When we got home I had a nice new crate and doggy bed to lie in. At first I was scared because I didn’t know what to expect, but it didn’t take long to realize that I was going to be well taken care of.

When I was taken to the doggy doctor for a check-up, the doctor said I had something called heart worms and I would have to be kept as quiet as possible. I had my treatments, which was about a 4-month process. I was a very good dog and did as I was told and just rested. I thought I was never going to get to play with my new brother, but I finally got the all clear and got to play.

I am trained to let you know when I have to go potty and I sleep in my crate at night. I love to go for walks and rides in the car. I also like to lay on the couch and be petted and loved on. I would be in heaven with a fenced in backyard. I get along well with people, other dogs, but not cats.

I am being fostered by Mike and Marilyn in Crestline, OH. Thanks for reading my story and I hope you can give me my furever home.
