Meila's Story...
Hi I'm Meila! I was found near a creek all by my lonesome. I don't know what happened to my mamma; but luckily I was by the the good people at St Francis, and after getting a little TLC - I'm finally ready for a forever home. I'm sassy and silly when I want to be, but also have a loving temperament. I love to toss fuzzy mice around, bat plastic balls with bells inside, and swat at dangling feathers and string. My foster mamma says I will make someone a wonderful companion. I hope to meet you real soon! Maybe you'll consider one of my siblings too! Love and kitty kisses, Meila

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meila, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
