Clea (updated)'s Story...
Clea is a 7 week old standard schnauzer mix. She is in her foster home with her mother (a standard schnauzer mix) and siblings. We have no idea what her father was so our best guess on size is based on her mom and she is around 40lbs. She came to us at 5 days old and has been handled by adults and children. She is well socialized. She is the smallest of the group but don't let that fool you she can hold her own with siblings. She loves to play and rough house with them but she is also quite the snuggler. If you would like more information about her please email barkandrollrescuecompanions@gmail.com. Her adoption fee is $225 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, neuter, microchip and vet exam. Please go and like our Facebook page to stay up to date on our newest rescue arrivals: https://www.facebook.com/barkandroll

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clea (updated), a Baton Rouge Schnauzer (Standard) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
