My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LESLIE (orig. Lexie) was brought to the shelter by a lady whose health problems required her to give up her beloved cat. For a while, she was very scared and huddled in a corner of her cage. She is probably naturally somewhat shy, and the presence of all these cats in one room is quite overwhelming. She is getting a little bolder now, even coming out of her cage to hide in the cat tree in the corner. At least that is progress. She tolerates being patted without running away, and she is very fond of Greenies. The vets called her “nice cat”.

Leslie is about eight years old, a very sweet and very pretty short-haired classic tabby tortie tux. What she really needs, however, is a new home, where she can be someone’s precious cat again. She would prefer to be the only cat in her new home as that is what she is used to. She would be a wonderful companion for an older person, curled up on the sofa, or maybe even as a lap cat. She is a little chubby, so maybe an exercise program would be a good idea, with lots of toys and some one-on-one attention. Come and visit her !
