Say Hello to Swivel's Story...
This little guy is our inaugural Angel Fund Shelter Survivor. With help from the donations made to our Angel Fund, we were able to pull Swivel from the 'Kill List at a local shelter and give him a second chance at life.

Our doctors estimate that Swivel is probably about 2 1/2 years old, likely a Rat Terrier mix, and in good health. He is already neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccines.

The shelter felt that he was "un-adoptable" because he is quite shy and very scared, so they put him on a list of animals to be put down. We're setting out to prove them wrong. He is a very timid boy, but it is clear to everyone here that he has a lot of love to give and would make a great addition to the right home! We are currently working to bring Swivel out of his shell and get him a bit more socializing and confidence, and this handsome little one is looking for his forever home! If you would like to meet Swivel please call Jen who is the contact person at Angel Animal Hospital in Naples at 239-221-8444 or email her jen@angelanimal.vet. You may have to leave a message. Thanks for your understanding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Say Hello to Swivel, a Ft Myers Beach Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Ft Myers Beach, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Ft Myers Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft Myers Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft Myers Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft Myers Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
