JuJu's Story...
"My name is JuJu, and I'm an older gentleman who's looking for someone who will hold me and make me feel safe and loved. I'm a ten-year-old Chihuahua, and I came here to the El Cajon Animal Shelter with another doggie friend. She got adopted already, so I'm feeling a bit lonely. Does your dog need a respectful doggie pal? I'm up for the job. I'm a fit fellow, so I like to go for walks. I'm a little overwhelmed here at the shelter, so I sometimes bark at new people in my kennel. Please take the time to get to know me better in the nice play yard that they have here so you can see that I just need a minute to warm up to a new person. I'd do best in a home that's pretty low-key, so I'd want to spend my time with either adults or very considerate older kids. I'm a well-mannered boy, and the shelter staff is fairly confident that I've already been house trained. Also, as a Super Senior, MY ADOPTION FEE IS ONLY $30. The fee includes my microchip, my neuter, and my current basic shots. That's a pretty good bargain for wonderful dog who is sure to be your devoted companion. Please come visit me soon! Love, JuJu" Kennel #32

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JuJu, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
