My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Harvey and I was adopted years ago as a kitten along with my brother Waldo. Sadly our adopter has lost his home, so here we are back at the shelter again.

I am an easy going sweetheart, who loves people and who even lived with cat friendly dogs. When I am content, I tend to knead my bedding joyfully. Although I am mellow, I can also be playful. I love to play with tennis balls. Young kids scare me a little initially, but loving older kids are fine. Right now I am looking out the window of my shelter room, dreaming of a loving adoptive home. Slowly I am getting used to being here. I am comfortable with the other cats.

Oh yes, I did test positive for FIV, but please don't let this label scare you. FIV cats live good quality, long lives. The virus has no effect on people, nor on dogs, nor on any non-feline species. Even between cats it transmits via penetrating bite wounds, not via casual contact. I am even available for foster care, in which case if I had any medical needs, they would be taken care of by the Max Fund Wellness clinic.

I would love for you to stop by and meet me. I am the handsome tabby, looking out the window, dreaming of a loving home.
